Step into Patisserie Fouet, a delightful pastry shop nestled at 15 E 13th St in the heart of New York City's Greenwich Village. Known for its exquisite Japanese-inspired desserts, this charming establishment bridges the culinary artistry of Japan with a touch of French elegance. As you cross the threshold, you're greeted by a serene and inviting atmosphere, where minimalistic design cues create a peaceful backdrop for your indulgent journey.

The menu showcases an array of unique offerings that are carefully crafted to tantalize your taste buds. From Tuesday to Thursday, guests can indulge in an enticing selection of pound cakes, such as the Earl Grey pound cake, which balances floral notes with the buttery richness of the cake for just $6.00. If you’re craving something uncommon, the Sake Azuki with its delightful hint of red bean paste or the Miso Pistachio—a harmonious blend of savory and sweet—are equally compelling choices. Don't miss the Yuzu pound cake, where citrusy brightness meets a soft sponge, making it a perfect treat for any time of day.

On the weekends, from Friday to Sunday, the matcha offerings steal the spotlight. Sip a Matcha Americano ($6.00) that delivers a rich, earthy profile, or treat yourself to a creamy Matcha Latte for that comforting warmth. For a refreshing twist, try the Mokuren Matcha Shot ($6.50), a perfect pick-me-up for anyone needing an afternoon boost.

Customer experiences here are as delightful as the treats. One enthusiastic patron, Kirsten C, raves about their unique soba pudding, which not only packs a punch in flavor but also comes in a reusable glass container—a nod to sustainability that keeps customers coming back. Meanwhile, Lana Alexander perfectly captures the essence of Patisserie Fouet, describing it as a cozy escape that feels reminiscent of Kyoto, where each pastry is presented as a work of art.

The charm of this pastry shop doesn’t just lie in the delicious offerings but also in the warm hospitality of the staff, who strive to make every visit enjoyable. While a few customers, like Vidhi Patel, emphasize the need to arrive early to catch their favorite treats before they sell out, this adds to the anticipation and excitement that surrounds each visit. The ambiance, combined with a beautifully curated menu, ensures that each experience is unique.

If you find yourself in New York City, Patisserie Fouet is an essential stop for those who appreciate the delicate balance of flavor and artistry in their desserts. It is a culinary gem that invites you to indulge while providing a refreshing escape from the bustling city outside. Whether you’re savoring a quiet moment alone or sharing delightful pastries with friends, every bite here resonates with joy and craftsmanship.

Good pastries, well balanced, good taste, not too sweet. The biscuits underneath the mousse was really crunchy The almond croissant is good, but can definitely find better in better homemade French bakeries though. The oat milk latte was really good though The staff is super nice. Very pleasant experience.

Great place for dessert. Got the soba pudding to go and it was unique and delicious. Also love that the pudding was in a nice glass container that I could keep and reuse. Can't wait to come back and try more of their pastries and desserts.

Japanese cakes that aren’t too sweet—just the right level of flavor. They’re also beautifully presented. The coffee was rich and delicious. They also sell cookies and other treats. You can eat inside or take your order to go.

Discovering this charming cafe was a delight! Arriving around 5:30, I found myself tempted by their array of baked goods, although many were nearly sold out. Note to self: arrive earlier to indulge in their delicious treats! From dessert tasting menus to hearty lunch options, there's something to satisfy every craving at this gem of a spot. Can't wait to return and explore more of their offerings! It’s always a pleasant surprise to find a restroom that’s as aesthetically pleasing as the rest of the cafe. A true testament to the attention to detail and ambiance of this lovely establishment!

Enjoyable desserts, but could use more descriptions (for example, the grapefruit cup had some unexpected, super bitter notes). One of the items was also still semi frozen. Staff seemed friendly and helpful. Would absolutely recommend

The service was not good. The person behind the counter would not let my wife and my two children along with myself sit at the three bar stools to wait for a table to open. Next, we had to ask if we could sit at the counter but they did not seem to want us to sit there. Then another person came out and we asked her, she said we could. Table finally open up and we went to sit down and we were asked to move until the rabble was cleaned. This is a very small and uncomfortable restaurant. The drinks were not that good. The strawberry short cake, didn’t have any cake in it. The only think that was good was the Green Tea Tarimsu.

Patisserie Fouet is a Japanese dessert bar located in Greenwich Village. It is always very popular and crowded on the weekend. They are famous for their soufflé and it surprised me a lot even if I had quite high expectations. I ordered a Earl Grey flavor soufflé and it came with an appetizer and a dish of sweet bites. The appetizer is a sorbet with a crispy sugar flake with an unimpressive taste and the dish of sweet bites is super sweet. It doesn't impact the impressive Earl Grey soufflé that is so soft and fluffy. There is a plum sauce that comes with the soufflé. It is sweet with a little bit of sourness, which balances the soufflé at a high level. I definitely will come back and try it a second time because I haven't found another dessert bar that can serve a better one. Besides, I tried a soba pudding and a stewed beef rice. Soba pudding has a strong flavor of soba and it tastes very rich and creamy. I would recommend it if you are sick of regular-flavor pudding. As for the stewed beef rice, it is very surprisingly delicious. I cannot believe I can have such a great meal in a dessert bar. The rice tastes better than in lots of restaurants. The beef is very tender and tasty cooked with soy sauce.

Stepping into this place felt like being back in Kyoto. The atmosphere is serene and inviting, with a minimalistic design that perfectly balances elegance and simplicity. The pastries are not just delicious—they are true works of art, crafted with precision and care. A must-visit for anyone who appreciates Japanese feel and flavors with Parisian flair.
